"Zowie! The congregation is still talking about the flow of freylikh you left in your wake!"
--Cantor Anita Hochman, Temple Mkor Shalom, Cherry Hill, NJ

"Shabbat never tasted so good."
--Rabbi Mayer Perelmuter, Reform Temple of Forest Hills, NY

"An extraordinary weekend of music and freilich."
--Rabbi Ira Stone, Beth Zion Beth Israel, Philadelphia

A Klezmer Shabbat welcomes the Sabbath with music, singing, dancing and joy! We begin in the Hassidic tradition -- with a nigun, a wordless melody, and soon the entire congregation joins with us in the most beloved Friday night prayers, including L'chu Neranina, L'cha Dodi, the Shema and the Amida -- plus an unusual and rollicking Aleynu. Add to this stories, songs, original translations (with songsheets for the congregation) of Klezmer, Hassidic and Yiddish melodies as well as an ecstatic Rikud -- a spirited dance around the Sanctuary. It is truly a warm and wonderful way for the entire family to celebrate Shabbat!

"Our kids really love you!"
--Cantor Amy Daniels, Temple Shaarey Shalom, Springfield, NJ

Especially for younger children. Lots of singing, lots of clapping, lots of dancing, lots of noise!

"A virtuosic pairing of play and academe, joy and transcendence."
--The Forward

We all gather around the table for an intimate program of rare and beautiful Old World Hasidic Nigunim and Rikudim--song and dance. (A Cappella program available)
